Blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar and a savoury olive edge, with the firm tannins and cool-climate freshness that makes McLaren Vale Cab such a compelling alternative to Bordeaux. Brilliant with Southern Thai Khao Mok Gai and Japanese beef sukiyaki.

Description

A Chicagoan who wound his way through Paris, Portland and New York fine dining before landing in McLaren Vale for a vintage in 2007 and deciding not to leave. Brad Hickey got his nickname from the Aussie pruners who welcomed him to the land, and has spent the years since building one of the region’s most original organic estates, with an obsession for making wines that nobody else was making in McLaren Vale.
