The estate’s entry-level red, built around Carignan with Grenache, Syrah and a touch of Cinsault from the garrigue terraces. A classic southern French blend: dark cherry, ripe plum, dried herbs and black pepper, with generous warmth and the kind of rustic charm that makes Minervois such good value. Excellent with Thai neua yang nam tok and Vietnamese bo luc lac.

Description

Founded in 1938 by the Chabert family in the village of Siran, right in the heart of the Minervois. Gilles Chabert grew up between the vines and the cellar alongside his grandparents, and took over the 30-hectare estate in 1990 making it a full family affair, with his brother Eric joining him. Certified organic since 2013, farming marl, sandstone and clay-limestone terraces in the garrigue, with hand harvesting and no fining or filtration.
