Corvina and Rondinella re-fermented on the spent pomace of Amarone, giving this Valpolicella a serious upgrade in body and complexity, then 12 months in oak. Think ripe cherry, dried flowers, black currant and a earthy tobacco edge, with the kind of savoury, structured finish that makes you want a long table and a big meal. An exciting pairing with Chinese red-braised pork or a plate of Japanese gyutan.

Description

A three-generation family estate in the hamlet of Cengia, right in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Lorenzo and his children Giordano and Tiliana are staunch defenders of the traditional pergola Veronese growing system and make some of the most elegant, honest wines in the region, with Amarone as their crown jewel.
