A Swartland field blend in spirit: Syrah anchors it, with Tinta Barocca for tannin, Grenache for fruit, Cinsault for perfume and Carignan for spice. Indigenous yeast, no new oak, medium body and a cracked black pepper and dark berry freshness that makes it dangerously easy to drink. Brilliant with Thai neua yang nam tok and Korean dak galbi.

Description

Husband and wife team Chris and Andrea Mullineux fell hard for the Swartland, drawn by its ancient granite and schist soils and gnarly old vines north of Cape Town. Named South African Winery of the Year five times by Platter’s Guide, their Kloof Street range is where that same commitment to terroir meets pure everyday drinkability.
