Rosso Rugo

Rugo means “red” in Esperanto, the same universal language behind the Blanko. Merlot and Cabernet Franc blended with four rescued ancient Veneto varieties, each fermented separately with indigenous yeasts before a month on skins and 12 months in concrete. Cranberry, raspberry and a little tomato leaf, with soft tannins and dangerous drinkability. Easily crushable with Korean jeyuk bokkeum or a bowl of mapo tofu.
