The Roero Arneis Vigne Sparse label is a fantastic entry-level cuvée from winemaker Giovanni Almondo made from 100% of the Arneis variety that is hand picked and fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve the grapes freshness. The wine has some lovely complexity, soft acid balanced by a slight complex bitterness that reminds us of pomelo and coriander, pairing beautifull with dishes of warm and earthy flavors from all over the world.

Description

While Italy’s northern region of Piedmont is known for its legendary red wines of Barolo and Barbaresco, the region also makes some beautiful white wines from grapes like Arneis in the Roero appellation. The Almondo family specializes in this variety, making some of the best Arneis we have ever tasted with organic agriculture and a traditional approach in the cellar.
