The Chignin Vielles Vignes is a great way to explore the classic DNA of the Savoie, made from old vine plantings of Jacquere in the Chignin appellation. Jacquere, if you haven’t had it before, is in some ways similar to Chardonnay with it’s vibrant acid and lovely textural weight that makes it approachable yet entirely singular to the Savoie. Green pear, honeyed lemon, and aromatics of soft winds rolling through evergreen trees make this a dry and full-bodied white wine to remember.
