Johannes walked away from a winemaking career in California to take over his grandfather’s tiny plot in Carnuntum, a quiet region east of Vienna that he’s helped put firmly on the map. Biodynamic farming, nothing added in the cellar, and a belief that the best wines get out of their own way.
