The wine selection is made up of organic and biodynamic labels from small producers across all continents. We are pleased and proud to be working with some of the most thoughtful and respected families.

Kim Wachtveitl

Kim Wachtveitl, a Cornell Hotel School alumnus, has spent over three decades immersed in the hospitality and beverage industries. His career journey has taken him from the prestigious Waldorf-Astoria Hotel to New York City’s renowned Windows on the World, where he honed his sommelier skills and contributed to wine education.

Upon returning to Bangkok in 2002, Kim played a pivotal role in elevating Thai winemaking standards by working with Siam Winery. He also spearheaded the Wine Professional Challenge Competition, fostering a deeper understanding of wine among Thai professionals.

In 2013, Kim founded Wine Garage, a purveyor of artisanal wines, and initiated innovative wine events such as Booza Wooza. Today, he is also a partner in Farandole Group, overseeing the operations of acclaimed restaurants such as Quince and Funky Lam Kitchen.

With a Level 3 certification from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, Kim continues to share his passion for wine through his various ventures.

Philippe Bramaz

Philippe Bramaz, a winemaking graduate, is inspired by winemakers who respect the terroir. He has a rich history in the wine industry, having managed one of Switzerland’s oldest Bordeaux trading houses and founded international wine distribution and consulting company Global Wine.

In 2004, Philippe relocated to Thailand and established Casa Pagoda, a lifestyle company with a presence in Bangkok, Shanghai, and Beijing. He later ventured into the restaurant industry, opening Quince, now recognized as one of Bangkok’s top three restaurants.

His latest endeavor, Atlan & Artisan, is a wine label that reflects his passion for wine.

Guenther Forster

Guenther Forster is an Austrian native who has resided in Thailand for over three decades, and he brings a unique perspective to the world of wine. With a background in biochemistry, he approaches wine with a scientific curiosity, earning him the nickname “wine doctor.”

A passionate collector of old-world wines, Guenther is also an accomplished home cook. His deep understanding of food and wine pairing elevates the dining experience. He is particularly passionate about Austrian Gruner Veltliner and has curated an extensive selection of these wines at Cloud Wine, recognizing their compatibility with Thai cuisine.

Guenther’s global travels allow him to discover emerging winemakers and explore the world’s finest cellars. He brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to Cloud Wine, ensuring that customers have access to a diverse and exceptional range of wines.
